Run Walk Wag is a pet-oriented 5K Fun Run or 1 Mile Walk event that raises desperately needed funds for the Watertown Humane Society. Money raised by this event helps provide necessary housing, food and medical needs to the animals in shelter care.

All participants receive a free, customizable fundraising webpage to share their story, love of animals and journey to race day and to solicit donations from supporters online. They can donate from anywhere in the world!

Please Note: Dogs must be on a leash at all times. Female dogs must not be in heat and dogs must be current on vaccinations, including rabies.


The Course

The Route will be clearly marked to keep our participants safe. Water stations will be available along the course.

The route immediately heads south taking Park View Lane to Hall Street, where it continues south in front of the Riverside Middle School. Cross over Main Street (be sure to Thank those keeping us safe by stopping traffic) continue on E. Water Street until turning right onto Kossuth Street. Once arriving at Oconomowoc Avenue, turn right and cross over the river. Turn right again and continue past the dam until you get to Main Street. At Main Street, turn right (Yes, again!) and head back over the river then turn left to head back in front of Riverside Middle School on Hall Street. Another left turn on Park View Lane until you cross the finish line.

The 1 Mile Fun Walk begins and ends at Riverside Park as well. The route will head south and take a right on Division Street crossing over the river. Once arriving at Fourth Street take another right. Shortly after crossing over the river again, take another right onto Labaree Street. Then it is only a couple blocks until you are back at the park.

All volunteers will be entered in the "Lucky Dog Raffle", which features great prizes from our generous donors.
